U18 Boys Football team reach semis with emphatic victory
Our U18 Boys team qualified for the semi-finals of the South Down Cup, defeating Banbridge Academy 10-3. Having fallen behind in the early stages, the boys roared back, with Shay Milligan scoring two and Shimna podcast star Luke McCafferty bagging a hat-trick. U14 Boys Rugby progress to finals
Our U14 Boys enjoyed one of their best days earlier this week, topping their group in the Ulster Blitz with wins against Larne, Slemish and Newtonhamilton and a draw with Strangford. Earlier today, our U14 footballers took part in the Integrated Secondary Schools Futsal Cup Tournament, held in the Shankill Leisure Centre. Indoor success at NI Athletics Championships for Shimna girls
Well done to Aoife Grant and Eve Mc Namara who enjoyed a very successful weekend at the NI Indoor Athletics Championships. Aoife finished second in the U16 1500m race walk and Eve was third in the U16 girls’ long jump. Eve narrowly missed out on a place in the final of the 200m. Both girls now go on to represent Northern Ireland in the National Indoor Championships in Athlone at the end of March.
